Thank you for the cheque, we had a truly wonderful time at Le Basque. We found the house extremely comfortable and the surrounding grounds beautiful. Geoff and Margaret were full of information and we followed up many of their recommendations, which enabled us to sample French life, not just the touristy bits. We would love to come again, when do you start taking bookings for next year and could you give me the rental charges? I would recommend your place to anyone - although I am loathe to as we would love to keep it to ourselves. Thank you very much, Kind regards Vicky August 2006

John, Thank you for the returned deposit cheque. Just a quick note to say how much we all enjoyed staying at Le Basque; a wonderful, peaceful, place with a magnificent pool, which the children particularly enjoyed. As soon as I walked in it felt like an old friend, it has such a warm welcoming atmosphere. Geoff is a really nice chap, always ready to have a chat, but also unobtrusive. I will certainly be recommending Le Basque to anyone interested in a relaxing holiday! Apologies for the damage caused to the lamp post. Acres of land to play on and my lad hit the lamp! We had a superb holiday at La Basque which is a lovely, very well equipped house. We really enjoyed the views, the quietness and the pool. We loved the area which though quiet had plenty to do. We ate very well particularly in the second week after we had discovered a local market and had visited the Monbazillac vineyards and found wines which went fantastically with local specialities! We particularly appreciated the tranquillity of the setting and the quiet local towns, especially after we took a trip to Sarlat which was 'heaving'. In terms of feedback on the house. and Geoff are real gems and were a great find for you. You could start
a visitors book so that nosey parkers like us can see who has been there
before and also write down tips on places to see. We would thoroughly recommend your house to anyone who wants a very relaxing, peaceful and trouble free holiday. | Dear Mr Warinton, Now that I am settled back at work I can now inform you that we had a wonderful week at Le Basque, the children and adults alike had a truly great time. The farmhouse was superb, the pool was one of the best we have seen in a private residence and of course the grounds were so spacious. We had some nice meals in the local villages including Ramparts in Castillonnes which was very nice. We also found the local people very nice and accommodating. If I had a disappointment it was that I did not see the barn owl, we did spend some time watching for it but in the end, it was probably down to noise my grandchildren were making. Anyway we will all remember it as a lovely holiday and would hope to visit again in the not to distant future. Best Regards Mr Bellew. |

The house lived up to our expectations and was certainly well equipped.The kitchen certainly lacked nothing in the lines of equipment/utensils aiding many a pleasant meal! Many thanks for the wine you left and our compliments also to Margaret and Geoff for the welcome supplies. We were very well looked after by Geoff and Margaret and made to feel very welcome - it was nice to have someone there who spoke English! I wanted to write to thank you for your hospitality. We very much enjoyed our stay at your house and found 'Le Basque' very welcoming and extremely well furnished. It's always a worry when renting a new property, but I can honestly say that you cater extremely well for your guests and we could not have wanted for anything. I would most definitely recommend your property to friends and would be interested in returning again myself. I absolutely loved the region as well, being my first visit to the area, I found the countryside beautiful, the Bastide towns charming and the people of the region extremely welcoming. Basque is truly a great place. Everyone hated to leave! The entire trip,
